LDS is mormon, right? Sorry if offensive.

1. What is the "hate" exactly? Discrimination? Or people saying that same-sex attraction is wrong? People not doing anything about it is bad, but discrimination is also bad. So neither church is doing the right thing.

2. I don't know what bible you use (it differs slightly among Christians), but assuming you have Genesis in yours, Genesis 19 is about the city of Sodom and Gemorrah. Short and sweet, a mob tries to have homosexual sex with Angels. Then God burned the city down. Multiple other places in the bible, Sodom and Gemorrah are condemned. So no, they shouldn't allow you to be gay, but they also shouldn't discriminate.

3. Might I recommend you check out Courage? It's an organization for people experiencing same-sex attraction. You'll find it at https://couragerc.org/

Yes, LDS stands for Latter Day Saints, which is the more technical term for it

1. It was kind of both, some people were passive-agressive, and some people just downright disceiminated me.

2. If your LDS or “mormon,“ than I guess we use the same bible, though I’ve never read about genisis.

3. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll be sure to check it out!

To be plain, the LDS church doesn’t really believe in LGBTQ+, but we believe in everyone making their own choices and respecting each other. We’re taught to love our neighbor and to not judge others when we ourselves are imperfect. It’s in God’s commandments to love one another, so if you are being disrespected in any way, the offenders are being unkind and therefore unrighteous. It’s so very important to respect everyone’s choices and show kindness regardless of our own opinions.

This is just my belief though, everyone is taught differently and has their own opinions.

Thank you for replying, as a deacon both of the churches were LDS, it might’ve been that olny the other church was caught up with how to respect people with same-sex attraction.
