I get that AI is bad, but blacklisting an indie animator for using it in a non-profit fan film is petty.

Because some voice actors, especially Grey DeLisle (who voiced Daphne from one of the Scooby Doo shows), are angry that the creator used AI voices.

And I agree, the film was really cool!

There's apparently a strike going on where voice actors are worried that AI voice acting will replace them and "steal their voices".

If 'Springtrapped' was made by a big company, then I guess it would be understandable. But this was made by one indie animator just for fun. He wasn't intending to use AI for bad things.
