Lol, the first time I met my wife’s parents, we had dinner there. They asked me to grab the butter from the fridge and when I went to get it, I couldn’t find it. They were all saying, “It’s right in front of you! It’s on the second shelf!”. I felt like an idiot but when I finally found it, it was a giant bucket of butter. I told them I’ve never seen so much butter before in my life. I was looking for a small container like my family used.
And, yes, over the years I’ve seen them reuse the containers for food storage, lol :-)
