Like Mexican Spanish, I'm sure . . . but you'd still get the grammar and 98% of the vocabulary. The rest would just be remembering whether to say "loo" or "bathroom".

The difference being that the flag for Spanish on Duolingo isn't the flag of Mexico or Argentina.

The real question is . . . will you let that stop you from learning?

You're more likely to come across a Mexican or Argentinian Spanish speaker than Spain Spanish speaker.

The reason why the flag for Spanish is the Spain flag is because they're not different enough of a dialect to differentiate between the two

Meanwhile, the flag for Portuguese is Brazil BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT AND BRAZIL IS LARGER

And the flag for English is the American flag. But it's not worth making a tremendous stink about . . . unlike the lack of Quenya and Sindarin, which is a crime given that they offer High Valyrian and Klingon.

The difference being that the british whitewash so much that the dialect is pretty much the same worldwide
