Okay, GOP tear jerker, what are the advantages that you see for having open borders and allowing illegal immigrants to just come on in?

Oh! ILLEGAL immigrants, I say? Yes. As a nation we are overwhelmingly for LEGAL immigration.

You are clearly also for illegal immigration, so I'm just curious what benefits you see to allowing it.

Can you show me the bill or law that states we have open borders?

If the demotards followed our laws, we would not have an open border.

That's the problem...

I gotta say, that's one fine username upgrade you made there. No longer jerking tears from the GOP, but just getting right down to your essential self. Nicely done!

NOW, will you please answer my question? Thanks.

Staten island is a great place and that's where I hail from. Admittedly, it was a typo.

While I am republican, I'd ask that you'd not use such derogatory words like that, that's what got us in this mess in the first place. This isn't high school where you have to be the team that shows the bigger level of team spirit. High school is over.

So you think that Democrats are violating the border laws? How so? Wasn't DeSantis bussing immigrants to different places accross the country? I believe that's called human trafficking...

"I'd ask that you'd not use such derogatory words like that"

Do you mean "demotards"? Yes, that type of language has contributed to getting us in this mess, and I know claiming that I didn't start it doesn't matter a bit. Maybe I'll try my best not to use it when I reply to you. I don't think I can stop using it altogether. I did tone it down for a while though, so there may be some hope.

"So you think that Democrats are violating the border laws? "

I didn't say that. I said they're not following our border laws. So unless we can agree that not following a law is the same as violating it, we're probably not going to agree on this.

"How so?"

I was fairly clear about that. I said they don't follow our border laws. Actually, when Trump tried to enforce them, they attempted to block him at every opportunity. That's something I don't like about demot... whoopsie doozie... democrats; even if something was or would have been good for the country, they would oppose it for no reason other than their ethos is to block all things Trump.

"Wasn't DeSantis bussing immigrants to different places accross the country? I believe that's called human trafficking..."

It's not human trafficking. The UN Office on Drugs and Crime defines that as: "the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit." Yeah, it starts off promising in terms of supporting your point with the recruitment, transfer, etc., but there was no force, fraud, or deception and there certainly was no aim to exploit them for profit.

The democrats let them in for their own exploitative purposes, and they have control a lot of cities and even states that have been declared sanctuaries for them, so I think it's time for them to take responsibility for their fair share of the burden of caring for these people.

"the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit."
- Deception was made, and I do believe that one could argue a case for "political points" could be construed as profit as your actions win you more donations, but I'll let the courts handle that. It is if nothing else, unethical.

What laws are Democrats not following? What did they block every turn from Trump? IIRC, it was on the notion of a wall that wouldn't be effective at all. And if any indication of his other buildings which aren't up to code were any indication of the quality he puts out for his structures, then I wouldn't hold my breath on the quality of the wall. In fact, immigrants were proving in real time that it didn't work.

I think Democrats do plenty to help take care of these people arriving at the borders. The top bread-winners in terms of money are (by majority) Democrat States:

California
Hawaii
New Jersey
Oregon
Minnesota
District of Columbia
New York
Vermont

Correction, it's not even majority, it's a straight flush to coin a term from poker. Top income earning states for federal income tax are Democrat. You wanna know who occupies the bottom when it comes to Fed. Inc. Tax?

Wyoming.
Washington.
Texas.
Tennessee.
South Dakota.
Nevada.
Florida.
Alaska.

Maybe Red states should start contributing more so that we have more funds to assist with these border countries instead of leaving Democrats with the bill. We pay the most. Kinda like shareholders you know?

Moving beyond that point, consider also that everyone plays their part. Border countries aren't the only places that get immigrants. Any place that has a port of entry gets immigrants. Some come visit through airlines or cruises and they vanish.

I also always hear these allegations of Democrats using Immigrants for nefarious purposes, but every time I read about them actually being caught working in the US, it's always by a republican guy. Survivor bias?

Don't call me names other than my screen name. I do not have any affiliation with any political party or entity. Any likeness is purely coincidental and, like my memes, shouldn't be taken seriously. But as always, if the shoe fits...

You're the one who changed your username. It's not my fault if it used to have GOP in it.

It didn't have GOP. You seem to be mistaken.

I was about to type something telling you how wrong you were, but... I decided to double-check, because I prefer not to be wrong myself.

Of course you're right when it comes to your own user name. I mis-read "GQP" as "GOP". So that was my mistake, and I apologize for that.

tbf, I have taken some user names and twisted them for various reasons (snark being one of them...) but that was not my intention in this case. I'm not sure which is better, being snarky or blind, regardless I was clearly wrong about that.

Hmmm, of all the things you could have said about me, I would not have expected to be told that. I try to be objective in the sense that when I am a bit difficult to have a civil conversation with, I recognize that fact and usually just don't care due to the nature of the exchange. So I will admit that I do find myself being snarky at times. You gotta admit though, compared to some here on the mighty imgflip, I'm not that bad. There are some you have zero chance of having a civil conversation with. Those people... I definitely just lower myself to their level.

Now, to be fair, I think that your posts in this exchange have been fairly flippant. Would you agree or not? I'm not saying that would make it good for me to do the same, but I also won't put a lot of thought into exchanges like that, as they just don't seem to have the potential to yield any positive outcomes.

Given your last three replies, I retract my statement. Being that we can actually talk and forget this nonsense, is really good.

Now that we're talking, let me ask you:

Big corporations: Good or bad?
