Aaaand Ron DeSantis has promised to pardon the Orange Menace if he wins in 2024 which is probably going to make the cult bigly happy... unless they remember that accepting a pardon is a legally binding admission of guilt or think about the fact that if he's convicted for fomenting insurrection, he'll be permanently-ish disqualified from holding public office by the Insurrection Clause (Amendment 14, Section 3); Why only permanently-ish? weeelll... there's the extremely remote possibility that 2/3 of the House would vote to let him back in; but that would require 68 seats changing hands in 2024 or 68 democrats (+/- # seats gained/lost) voting in favor of Trump afterward; Sooooo.... yeah; And, of course, all of this is predicated on Ron DeSantis taking the Oval Office; I'm not saying abandon all hope ye who Trump-cult here -but you prolly shouldn't waste time counting your chickens
