Yeah I have this male friend, and we’re really close, like we will hang out a lot, and my mom or others will say things like “oh are y’all dating?” And it makes me so mad

It genuinely bothers me how much of a problem this is. It contributes to straight men viewing women as nothing more than romantic/sexual objects, because they aren't allowed to see them as friends, whole humans.

Bro i still remember in middle school when this one dude named Ryan kept asking me if i like Duncan. I didn't want to come out, nor did i fully realize i was gay at the time. Both of them annoyed the shit out of me.
