I keep hearing about how amazing the story and soundtrack are. But it’s a Video. Game. I rarely hear of any undertale fans talking about the gameplay.

Same thing with The Last of Us .

Gameplay wise it's mediocre, not bad, but not especially good. I enjoy the bullet hell aspect, but it does get somewhat repetitive when you run into basic enemies all the time. However, I do feel that deltarune improved on the gameplay aspect a whole lot and made it more fun as an actual game and not just an experience.

it's a pretty good the first few playthroughs, especially spoiler-free(which is basically impossible considering sands mutterfail is f**king everywhere)

admittedly it is a very story driven game and not as focused on gameplay

Deltarune is a way better game imo
