Maybe there should be more icons and those could be easier to get like taking less points or the achievements we’ve been talking about. That could discourage the idea
Here's one reason not to allow custom icons (example from Scratch):
99% of users on imgflip would have any crappy image they have saved on their device as their icon; Do we want to have imgflip cluttered with trash icons, or would we prefer the icons we already have, which look at least decently nice?
Besides, the way we progress through imgflip is already unique, since you need to grind points for better icons. I don't want that unique feature taken away from us
