Got a question, is this homophobic to say? SharkLazerBoy got banned from r/WingsOfFire, I figured I should ask the experts.

Here’s part of a 6 page long argument he had with a moderator (more pages will be added below, but I might not add all)

What do they mean by “you can’t be neutral?” I’m just trying to get a better understanding on the argument so I could advise SharkLazarBoy on how to proceed since I think he was unfairly banned indefinitely for the one comment. He wants to get unbanned but now has to wait 28 days to even speak with the mods again, to which point this mod said “you can formally appeal your ban in 6 months, do not speak to us again” and muted him several more times.

I think I currently have the beginning and the end of the argument, if you want more so you could give better advice I can go get them.

I’m just concerned since the mod appears to be acting strangely. I don’t think this would have happened if he had talked with a different moderator. You can ask SharkLazerBoy himself too, but I think his view of the situation might also be a bit one sided. It’s easy to misinterpret the comment he had, especially when the whole comment is taken out of context from the argument. I’d need to ask him for the link to the post the first argument happened, assuming none of the comments were deleted or taken down. This all started because he didn’t think a character in Wings of Fire is gay and you needed to remember a specific passage from the 6th book to know that. I didn’t even know he was until the argument was brought up.
