the Xarranians, they colonized Antarctica because they’re even dumber than you think, although they did manage to live on a snow planet (Xarrania) for around 2000 years… which isn’t that long considering they live for 300.

How are they so dumb but make such advanced weaponry?

they used to be smart, but then after traveling for so long and being exposed to different cultures, they eventually turned into a race of creatures whose motives and knowledge are fueled by memes. So while they can still make stuff because they already knew that info, they are still stupid when it comes to common sense and logic.
