If crusaders had half a clue, they wouldn't be crusaders. But hopefully this meme will help underscore the need for effective moderation. The stream mods are responsible for what content is allowed and what gets bounced at the door. [Note: the one area people on both sides of the aisle agree on is that PORN HAS NO PLACE ON IMGFLIP, and when it's found it needs to be eradicated. And by and large it is--the only place I've encountered actual porn on this site is the meme templates. Unfortunately for all parties concerned, crusaders are categorically incapable of comprehending that the definition of pornography that they have in mind when they point to the relevant language in TOS, is completely wrong. Like, demonstrably, objectively, legally wrong. And they don't care. It goes right through their empty heads and they fall over themselves to break TOS by raiding streams, insulting and harassing people. Some have even admitted they don't care about TOS, they just won't tolerate the presence of content they don't like anywhere on the platform.
They don't comprehend that there are dozens of streams on imgflip that center around erotica (not porn, of course they'll never understand the distinction). They don't comprehend that many of these streams are OWNED AND RUN by prominent mods in the imgflip community. The don't care that the images they flag over and over and over and over aren't removed BECAUSE THEY AREN'T PORN. They just want their way like stubborn spoiled 3 year olds who need a nap and no amount of counterargument will move the needle. So we can put up with their asinine behavior, or we can kick them out and let them keep their mindless, misguided intolerance on their own fxcking streams. Seems like an easy choice to me.
The biggest problem with crusaders is that they don't understand the rules they're trying to have enforced. That's baked into what they are, so it's to be expected.
The problem on OUR end is that the people running the stream are allowing crusaders to harass users on streams like this. To be fair, stream owners have a right to run their streams however they want within TOS. It's just so simple to take people who only come here to talk shit and smack them with the ban hammer, instead of allowing them to bring the whole stream down. I don't get why crusader presence continues to be tolerated. They think we're a cancer, I think they're a cancer. The difference is THEIR cancer spreads to other streams and actually DOES break TOS.
