I agree with all that, and yes the Venator is better... but the inperial DOES have defense cannons.

Venator always seem to be blowing up tho

It just looks like imperial is better cuz not many were shown and the rebels were trying to not get blown up and blow up the Death Star. The separatists actually have battles in space of similar firepower so more venator class destroyers blowing up

The Imperial Star Destroyer has 6 or 8 turbo-lasers on either side of the base of the bridge. it also has orbital cannons on the bottom of it

You see the turbolasers in EA's Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and the orbital cannons in the finale of Star Wars: Rebels
