You nailed it too. I hear a lot of braindead arguements from leftists defending the rioters such as "it's justified to stand up to police brutality and state violence" yeah, as if people's small businesses and homes have to do with the evils of police brutality and the state. I am for walkable, livable cities like that of Europe (The Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, not France) not only because they are walkable areas but also because cities like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, etc. have much lower crime rates than Paris, France or American cities.
