I mean, the Torah (Old Testament) states that there is no hell, just some sort of torture-thing, but it isn’t permanent. So although Dawn was technically right, she made it seem like it was made-up

Jesus actually said that the laws of the Old Testament were revoked and he also said all of the “love thy neighbor” stuff.
“I have not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it.”
The point of the law in Christianity is to recognize that it’s impossible for anyone to fulfill it other than God himself. Not that there’s no law anymore.

Okay, so you believe everything the Old Testament said.
So… we should marry our brother’s widow, eat no pork, wear only one fabric, etc?
Oh and that means disabled people can’t be in a church and women can’t teach.
Like I said, it’s impossible to upkeep the law. Even getting angry at people is seen as murder. Even looking at people with lustful intent is adultery.
The point of the law is to recognize that we need someone to fulfill it for us and to take our own punishment.
