The Living Ghost Chapter 2

Cata: h-huh..?
Cataclysma was caught by a root wrapping around her ankle, she sees a strange figure floating right above her, but it quickly disappears and the root lifts Cataclysma up back to solid ground. Kenshin and Xander run towards where Cataclysma was set down.
Xander: Cataclysma are you alright!?
Cata: y-yeah… I think I’m fine. But I saw something weird…
Kenshin: What did you see?
Cata: something like.. a ghost..? I don’t know it disappeared before I could process it.
Kenshin: ..are you sure it wasn’t Ghostie?
Cata: it wasn’t Ghostie!! It’s hands were disconnected from the body, and it’s face was completely covered by a cloak!!
Kenshin and Xander look at Cataclysma concerningly.

Xander: let’s.. keep moving forward.
The group takes a detour through the woods, it’s dark there with all the trees, the air somewhat thick and a bit warm, strangely the scent of flowers was everywhere. Kenshin felt as if he was being watched, he was quite on edge.
Kenshin’s thoughts: maybe Cataclysma actually did see something?
Xander could see that something was on Kenshin’s mind.
Xander: are you alright Kenshin?
Kenshin: yeah I’m fine, just.. What if Cataclysma was telling the truth? What if she actually did see something?
For Kenshin the scent of flowers was getting quite strong, and he heard a very familiar feminine voice.
The feminine voice: Kenshin…
Kenshin: GAH!
Kenshin panics for a second and turns around. He sees nothing.

Cata: what is it Kenshin?
Kenshin: I-it’s nothing sister, I’m fine.
Cata: are you sure? You are pretty on edge from the looks of it.
Cataclysma then hears the same familiar feminine voice.
The feminine voice: Cataclysma…
Cata: h-hello??
Xander is a bit confused on why Kenshin and Cataclysma are panicking, but the smell of flowers gave him a sense of warmth and comfort that he hadn’t felt in a long time. Then he too heard the familiar feminine voice.
The feminine voice: Xander… my love…
Xander: ..Rea?
