Even though they cannot take public credit for their successes, they very efficiently dispose of issues that would cost much more in money and American lives if left untended. The latest leaks don’t incriminate Trump, they incriminate the Democratic Party.

It has been reported that the tape was made as a writer did research for a book. If I had to guess, the writer realized what he had and sold it to the highest bidder. But, the only thing that is clear is that Trump said all the things on the tape.

Shokin was infamous for NOT PROSECUTING corruption as part of a pro-Russian government. After that government was removed, anti-corruption groups in Ukraine called for Shokin's removal because of his non-enforcement of anti-corruption laws. The International Monetary Fund, among others called for action to spur Shokin's removal. The U.S. Government withheld monetary aid to encourage the government to act. The one reason investigators point to as proof that this was not tied to the end of an investigation into Burisma and Hunter Biden, is that Shokin had no such investigation open.

As usual MAGA is recycling an old lie that has been publicly disproved in the past.

Members of juries are not blank slates. Each and every member has biases and opinions on wide varieties of subjects. You are not required to abandon your beliefs. You are required to decide if the Prosecution has proved, beyond a "reasonable," doubt that the defendant did what they are accused of. You can believe 100% that they did it. But, if the Prosecution does not deliver the proof, you have to be able to find the defendant not guilty. I did just that once. So, I know that it isn't easy, but it is the right thing to do.
