Mutual peace and harmony doesn't require me to surrender what I earn for myself, it gives me freedom to have what makes me happy instead of what the system thinks I need to survive.
Imagine working in a Communist state, where none of the wealth you work for is yours.
You pluck an apple from a tree, and the person who deserves it, is not the person who's earned it but the person who's most hungry.
If you keep the apple, you're corrupt.
If you surrender the apple, you're virtuous.
Who exactly would willfully pluck apples if they know their work isn't theirs? Who would work if being hungry means having the right take someone else's work?
This is a system that punishes workers, and rewards idlers. Harmony and peace usually don't mean anything close to that.
