Fox News wanted to keep Tucker because he was making Fox News a lot of money but they caved like a Malibu, California hillside after a heavy rainstorm when puny little Dominion Vote Riggers threatened to restart settlement negotiations if Fox didn't fire Tucker.
Fox News once dominated cable news. They stopped all over CNN in every time slot with every demographic. After they dumped Tucker Carlson, Fox News plummeted below CNN and MSNBC. They're coming back up in the last few days and are at the number 1 slot again. Most likely conservatives are not finding a home anywhere else because all of the other conservative networks either because they aren't available, viewers miss Fox's format or they are subscription based (like The Blaze and Daily Caller+). There is a reluctance to pay for the subscription when they can watch the news on cable as a part of their cable package. Even though the Blaze and Daily Caller+ offer far superior news and commentary shows than Fox News.
