Seriously? THAT counts as child abuse?
I'm not even homophobic and yet I know that your parents having different opinions than you doesn't count as child abuse

Forcing your child to be something they aren't is abuse, as it's technically the parent abusing their child so the parent gets what they want

No, no. There is no abuse here. One thing was said. Just one. CPS is for parents who 100% neglect their children. People who TRULY hurt them. Now, there will always be moments like this in life with family, because what was said here was actually completely normal. One of the easiest things a guy could recover from. It's like saying spanking your child is abuse (which it isn't.). Things like this are nowhere near abuse. The DEFINITION of abuse is to treat a person or animal with NOTHING but cruelty. What was said here was not cruel in any way. A little mean, sure. But in the end....no TRUE harm was done here.

I mean, sure. I don't know. Behind the scenes, they could be abusing this person. And if that's the truth, I am very sorry for them. But that is besides the point. I am saying that what was said specifically is not abuse. It was just...it was mean.

No offense, but I can't say they are wrong for saying that. A lot of stories have been circling lately about young children being pressured to meet the norms of what they identify as, or are pressured to identify as something else entirely. They have a right to be concerned, and they are telling you to just be yourself in your own way, and don't let others change you too much.
But's that is my interpretation of what they said

When I came out to my mom (Which, if it tells ya smth, I told the WHOLE SCHOOL I went to MONTHS before coming out to my mom), she was like "Okay, that's perfectly okay, I don't see you as any specific gender, I just see you as (irl name)" and I was like "that went well"...

I still correct her, she still uses the wrong pronouns for me
