Months ago, exotic creator had received instructions from a strange entity, he was told to go to a place called "the fractured planet" and reunite it with it's opposite.
However, soon he figured out exactly where he needed to go due to rumors spreading around the citadel, some even said the collector himself was soon getting involved.
He stole a stickmanian ship and hid in some debris, waiting to see what happens. He was there for weeks, but over time he began to see a pattern. Stickmanians would send empty ships with different modifications to the planet every couple days, and every time they would be destroyed by purple energy.
While he was attempting to observe the activity above the planet's atmosphere, he noticed the collector setting up scanning equipment. This could easily cut the amount of observation time in half for EC.
He quickly hijacked the signal and had it transmitting directly to him, only slightly slowing down the device. Collector likely thought this was merely interference from the energy surrounding the planet.
However nearly at the end of the scan the signal was blocked by another stickmanian ship, although it was only there briefly there was no way of knowing what data EC had just lost because of it.
Soon the collector left and EC was left to evaluate the data.
He found that the energy was as strong as the crystal of creation, and it's source was the crater on the side of the planet. There would likely be no way of keeping the energy from tearing him and the ship to shreds if he attempted to land on it.
Because there was nothing else for EC to find for now, he waited while other devices ran in the background.
