No offense, I just deem all pride-related stuff to be political nowadays since it's now seen as a way to further polarize people (if you don't agree with or support this then you're bad). Even within the alphabet community from what I've seen there's a lot of horrible and toxic people with bad intentions and political obsessions. I don't want to be a part of it and every time I see it I've just learned that it's just another thing to shove down people's throats, where if they don't like it, then they're made an enemy of the public. As long as you act like a decent person, then you'll be seen as such (and before anyone states examples otherwise, I've seen bullying against straight people personally!)
I miss the days where we chose not to distinguish ourselves and instead chose things to bond over, like tastes, and those similar tastes created friendships where differences of opinion didn't drive people apart. Now we don't have friendships, we're creating groups of allies and enemies, and pride is contributing to that (which, might I add, is exactly what prominant people in it want)
Again, no offense. that's just my opinion
