Yet Republicans want that to happen. But yes, I don't think it is an emergency but compare the US's LGBTQ rights to many developing countries, even parts of Europe (not Scandinavia or anything close)
And even those Republicans who want such a thing to happen can't make such a thing happen because the law protects lgbt rights from such far-right politicians and those politicians are fringe far-right extremists that don't really have a lot of traction in the mainstream political system.
I agree. But 6 of our 9 Supreme Court judges are Republican with half of them being appointed by Donald Trump. The Supreme Court can easily challenge the law or the opposition of the law or something and it'd be a win for the GOP.
Yeah, it's also very ironic how the multicultural left who always go on condemning white privilege and accuse people of being white supremacists have recently come in full support of one of the whitest, un-multicultural countries in Eastern Europe.
DOES YOUR COUNTRY BAN YOU; FROM HAVING SEX OR DATING OTHER MEN? BAN YOU FROM GETTING MARRIED? BAN YOU FROM ADOPTING CHILDREN? BAN YOU FROM GOING TO A GAY BAR; OR EVEN A PRIDE PARADE? IF THE ANSWER TO ALL IS NO; THEN YOU HAVE NO REASON TO DECLARE A HUMAN RIGHTS "STATE OF EMERGENCY"
