A helicopter landed not far from an oil rig. Phantom stepped out. He grasped his sword and began to head towards the rig. It was time for revenge.
The job in question was to disable a bomb planted on the roof of the main building. Phantom simply had to sneak up and disarm it. The door of the main building opened. He saw no stairwell nor elevator to get upstairs.
“Looks like I’ll have to use the catwalks,” he thought.
Phantom slowly crept along the catwalks. If he made a single noise, it would draw the attention of that crazed, robotic madman known as The Sniper. All was going well…
(wings flapping)
A single seagull landed on the railing. Oh, no. If it made a single noise, it was over.
“Hey,” he whispered. “You mind getting out of here?”
The bird cocked its head.
“Get. Out.”
The bird would not listen.
Phantom crept towards the bird in an attempt to scare it away. Why wouldn’t it go away?
He eventually gave up. “Get out of here.” He lunged towards the bird, not realizing the noises he was making. A single gunshot could be heard, and Phantom stopped in his tracks.
“Hello again, Miller. I have to thank you for coming. Without you coming, the wait would have been… eternal.”
It was the Sniper alright.
Phantom drew his sword as the Sniper jumped down onto his catwalk. He shot his rifle at an oil barrel, causing an explosion and destroying the catwalk. Phantom fell down onto a lower catwalk. The Sniper was nowhere to be found.
“Did you hear me, Miller? I am your end. I will bring you to your ultimate fate.”
The battle was about to start.
