LGBTQ people have been dealing with the same stuff, so why should African Americans get a month but LGBTQ doesn't when they went through the same thing and contribute just as much to society?

LGBTQ people weren’t enslaved or segregated if that’s that you’re talking about. I still don’t agree with black history month, but even then, the scenarios aren’t nearly as equal as you think.

That’s a strawman argument. We just said that being gay doesn’t contribute to society, and you assumed we said it because we think they are a small percent of the population.

The point you’re missing is this. Even if gay people make up 50% of the navy (which I’m calling bullshit on. There’s no way 1 in 2 people in the entire navy force are LGBTQ), they’re not contributing to society because they’re gay. They’re contributing because they’re in the military. An actual job is a contribution to society, not a decision on who you like to have sex with.
