Sonic fans will use any excuse to get Sonic to win, even if it's been debunked or proven incorrect. They even play off Sonic as "outerversal" when he's clearly not, and dismiss any arguments and outliers as "downplay". They even stoop so low as to using the Archie Comics, which are a completely separate continuity from the games. There are even some who use FANMADE STUFF to try and get Sonic to win.
