Why does the research lab in Hero's Duty (Wreck it Ralph) look like this?

There's no way Hero's Duty wasn't based on Starship Troopers.

But the buildings though, it's crazy

It is a bit, yeah. Maybe it takes place in that post-apocalyptic future where Candace actually managed to bust Phineas and Ferb, but in doing so nearly killing Perry in his first fight with Doofenshmirtz and earning him his ultimate victory.
