I'll be honest, I didn't like her redesign initially, but after seeing the rest of the characters, I acknowledge that it could be worse. That doesn't change the fact that it's still pandering for the sake of pandering.

I’m not racist or anything but why do they always make black remakes of perfectly good movies

The Little Mermaid is a fairy tale of Danish origin and was originally conceived by writer Hans Christian Andersen, who was best known for his riveting fairy tales. Andersen lived from 1805 to 1875. Denmark is almost entirely inhabited by ethnic Danes. The largest Denmark racial/ethnic groups are White (96.1%) followed by Hispanic (1.9%) and Asian (1.0%). Sorry, Disney, a black mermaid makes no sense whatsoever. I am not racist. I just like to keep things accurate.

Well truth is truth and it doesn't change, no matter who says it or how many times they say.
