The AK in AK5 stands for Automatkarbin and the AK5 is a swedish version of the FN FNC

Isn't the AK5 based on the AR-18? It looks pretty similar. The answer to that question is dependent on this one: is it short stroke or long stroke?

well from the wikipedia page it says that the FN FNC, the gun its based on is long stroke. But your here saying its based on the AR-180, which is a short stroke

I never said it was based on it, I just said it looked like one. Whether or not it was based on one would be if the AK5 was short or long stroke, which it's long. That in turn answers my question.
