The Hart & Soul Man: Remembering the late, great Phil Hartman – 25 Years Later | Today, is the 25th Anniversary, of the murder, of multi-talented & legendary comedic actor, Phil Hartman. He started his career as a graphic artist, designing album covers, such as
Steely Dan's 1977, Aja. He also, co-created the iconic man-child character, Pee-Wee Herman, with Pee-Wee actor,
Paul Ruebens. In 1986, he became an SNL cast member, where he became a staple, performing many memorable characters and impersonations, exiting the show, in 1994. He also lent his voice on 'The Simpsons,' as washed-up actor,
Troy McClure and inept Springfield lawyer,
Lionel Hutz. Before his death, he had a prominent acting career, in both film and TV, the latter being the NBC sitcom, "NewsRadio." After his shocking murder, his dear friend, Jon Lovitz, stepped-in, and helped finished the series, in his honor. Though, his most important role of all, was that of being a very loving father, to his two beautiful children.
