It happens elsewhere, just focus on having fun like we used to

I'm tired of stupid fighting. I used to be the same way, but after years of trying to prove myself a good guy, in the end I was no happier. Don't waste your life fighting pointless fights like fools. There's rarely a wolf to cry about. Don't sacrifice fun for politics.

The furry fandom isn't what it used to be. It's an empty shell full of nightmares because of the desire to fight over stuff. Stop politics, stop fighting, stop being fools. Bring back the fun, making friends based on common interests, and content that wasn't about politics or hate.

I used to just see the "fun" part of this community for a long time.
Even if at the end I didn't joined the furry community, I'm still thinking about what I could have fallen into if I wasn't so conservative on the games I play and the people I watch.
It's sad, really sad that it came to here...

I could be wrong, but it feels like to me the same thing happened with the fandom as what did a lot of other groups and social media sites around the same time: politics. It first started around when gay marriage became a thing, where they started going downhill, and then when it became popular to hate on big Don, it seemed like EVERYTHING was required to be political and they just slid right off a cliff.

They landed with a hard splat when prominant artists and Furaffinity went AWOL with political agendas while Furaffinity dropped the ban hammer on pretty much anyone who still liked Trump after 2020 and those who called them out for their hypocrisy regarding extremist groups they supported. A lot of people just didn't want to deal with the political obsession (myself included) and just left the fandom because it didn't benefit them anymore.

We all just want fun back. I feel sorry for those who never got to experience places like the fandom back when it was still a fun hobby (for most people) and had a lot of cool and much more normal people in it. I feel even more sorry for those who have lost the plot and aren't how they used to be, and now they seem more miserable.

That and a lot of people adopting the whole victimhood-mentality, especially considering how the fandom prides itself as being a safe haven for the oppressed and outcasts of society.

Well I never went on the fandom (since at the time I didn't really knew much about furries) but I can imagine that.
Politics and scandals made a lot of good unrelated things going wrong...

So, I have a big writen speech for this...

Z**s and furries is a serious problem that need to be addressed, but it went poorly both way :

- the anti-furry moment went from based to just pure bullying. Some people are doxxing and sending death threats over a profile picture, and many innocent people (who sometimes have no idea what's going on) was founded in the war and some suffer depression. Thanks God there are still some anti-furr who know what they are talking about.
- the furry community didn't act or acted too late. The Fandom went worse, many abandoned the fandom for this reason. But the main point is that some person start to victimize themselves, so they are placed under the "bullied furry" protection and the opponent are seen as a**holes. As the anti-furry community, it was first for the good cause, but deviated quickly due to be really exploitable. Roblox is a exemple, Discord is another. Moderator are immediately biased when furries are involved into an argue, and that not only silence some real concerns, but protect some people who did REALLY bad things.

It is the only way.

Of neutralising targets.

You may believe that it is bullying, but it is not what you think.

Doubt it all you want, but you cannot deny the truth.

The truth is like the LGBT community furries are more subject to depression.

Not because they are stupid, but because of the constant harassment.

Therefore some people decide to exploit it to victimise themselves to gain attention/not assume any responsibility of their faults.

And because of that you created a bigger problem.
