Signs point to 'yes'. | Is the GOP a death cult? Despite their constant refrain of "we gotta protect the children" to justify passing legislation aimed at marginalizing US citizens, mass shootings involving schoolchildren are rising precipitously and they do nothing but make excuses, scream "2nd Amendment" and insist that banning high-capacity, high feed-rate firearms won't change anything even though the data proves that's bullshit. Let's examine the evidence:; They're scrambling to block women's access to abortion with a stated goal of eliminating it entirely nationwide.  Why?  According to them, it's more of the "we gotta protect the children," "it's a moral issue" justification... but that rings hollow given the refusal to move on the murdered schoolchildren problem.
