In one of the episodes, Sheldon suggested switching religions after his family got in trouble with their church when his brother Georgie got a woman pregnant out of wedlock. Sheldon suggested switching to Judaism because Star Trek actors Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner are Jewish. If that's his mindset, he might as well have suggested switching to the Anglican church because the creator of Thomas the Tank Engine was an Anglican Clergyman.
