Harkhum, or, as he preferred to be called, Trakhsis, had finally awakened. However, there were two things amiss. Firstly, all his infantry had vanished, leaving only his bodyguard of immortals in slumber. Secondly, there were distant explosions, indicating that the tomb had overslept and was now under siege by intruders. If Trakhsis' cold metal face could display emotion, a smirk would have formed, for he relished the opportunity for excitement. The fun of a battle. He promptly roused his immortals and made his way to retrieve his prized relic, the Gauss blaster, which had been ancient even before the war in heaven.
Trakhsis and his bodyguard navigated through the corridors, eventually arriving at a designated "courtyard" where Tamonakh, the unblemished, was observing the passing warrior cohorts as they entered various eternity gates. Trakhsis greeted him with a tone that humans might describe as filled with emotion as if meeting an old friend.
"Sup Tamo," Trakhsis remarked, despite knowing that Tamonakh disliked the nickname. He tightened his grip on the scythe.
"What have I told you about calling me that?" Tamonakh replied coldly, his response accompanied by an even firmer grip on the scythe.
"Nothing in my code prohibits me not doing it," Trakhsis retorted with a touch of cleverness. "It appears we may have overslept."
Tamonakh responded only with a glare before returning to the marching warriors, seizing the opportunity to join their ranks and escape the conversation.
"Rude," Trakhsis muttered, even though he knew that nothing around him would reply. Unbeknownst to him, his long sleep may have instilled in him a desire for conversation, a personality quirk that proved challenging to fulfil given his non-noble status.
Standing and awaiting orders, Trakhsis watched as an entire legion pass by without noticing his presence. He recognized a few of his warriors among them, but who was he to argue? Eventually, a technomancer approached, treating him like a mere subordinate. Trakhsis was assigned to escort them to "deconstruct a human manufactorum." Though unsure of what that was, he welcomed the prospect of action. Nevertheless, he knew it would be a while before they reached an eternity gate, requiring further patience on his part.
