Yeah, they pricey bro! Even cheaper ones can run you a grand. Many charge over a grand just for the head! Most furries don't even have a suit, which is why they'll opt for a shirt and maybe a tail, but even then a very small minority of them will wear them in public.

It's almost like if you're into cars. Cars are expensive, especially classic and muscle cars. Many who have them are into cars and mechanics as a hobby, but most can't afford them and thus they'll read and talk about cars but will wear a Shelby hat, shirt and maybe a keychain in public at most.

On a side note, car cruises are a similar concept to furry gatherings. Also you'll see more people driving classic cars down the highway than fursuiting in public outside of their respective events, because while both are a lot of care and maintenance plus expensive upfront costs, one of them is very frowned upon, even when not being awkward.

I mean I see a LOT more dyed hair, shaved heads, absurd sizes and numbers of piercings, overdone makeup, smelling like a hookah bar, bath robes, pajamas, brown unkept fingernails, snobby voices, pregnancy stretch marks hanging out of their shirts in the open, excessive tattoos, holding money in underwear or socks instead of a wallet, and in general bad odor.

I work with the public and see those literally 1,000x more than ears or tails. I know it's popular to hate furries but c'mon dude, be realistic.
