Yeah, it you've ever seen something like this:

(Or just any stone that seems like only the surface of it is exposed)
That's bedrock :) since the earth is basically stone inside, surrounded in dirt, you could call bedrock "one big rock" (which is what bedrock is), covered in dirt XD
