I know a family of Newfies, 9 siblings in all.
Who told me a story from when they were
young, back in Newfie-land; Their house was destroyed during a massive
Hurricane, leaving their parents with no
choice but to leave them to find work; All 9 children went to live with their poverty
stricken Grandparents, who had only but a
single room flat, with one small bed to share
for them all! So with not enough room the Grandfather
would place three of the children in the
bed, and wait until they were all asleep; Afterward take each out and stand them
upright against the wall and, repeat this
until all were asleep; Then he fastened a length of rope from,
one corner of the room, to the other corner. Leaning each of them forward, they'd be
hanging with their little arms dangling
over the rope. Now Grandpa and Gramma had room
enough again for their favorite Retriever, Tilly!
