Yeah, who even came up with putting in ads every five minutes to ruin what you're watching? Then by the time they're over you can't even remember what just happened XD
What's even worse than an ad is the YouTuber's sponsorship in the video, even though you can skip it, you can't tell when it ends unless somebody in the comment section makes a timestamp on when it ends.
