I'm pretty sure you don't want to tell people you own an illegal firearm. Ever. Sooner or later the ATF and the FBI will get involved, and it'll end in them shooting your dog, your teenage son, your wife, and your baby daughter. To add insult to injury, they'll create some bullshit story about how you were supposedly the bad guy the whole time.
