Jewish population in Germany was 525,000 members (0.75% of the total German population)

Your premise that “Hitler got over 6 million people (the number of Jews that Hitler ultimately exterminated. Personally, I believe the number to be considerably higher)
to follow along blindly and not fight back” is mathematically and historically incorrect.
Furthermore, how could they “fight back” when the majority of the population was prohibited from owning firearms (here’s a lesson, folks! Pay attention!!!).
But, you are right, that in a big sense that it is happening again. Because public schools have for the last 20 some-odd years been indoctrinating our children and they don’t know the history. And because most citizens are law- abiding and believe their government wouldn’t lie to them.
