It's time for the Administration to play hardball on the national debt and use the 14th Amendment. Only one party potentially has standing to challenge in court - the Republican House of Representatives. Let's assume they challenge in court and have standing. The right leaning Supreme Court hears the case. If they decide against the Administration, they and the Republican House will be at fault for the economic consequences and that can be used against them. If, on the other hand, the Supreme Court doesn't side against the Administration and allows the use of the 14 Amendment, it would be a win for the country. There would be no more regular brinkmanship over the debt limit.
