Anecdotal evidence is not scientific evidence.

Never said it did.

But it's a pretty big reason why most people believe in God/are creationists.

No, it’s because Christianity was forced on populations through colonialism and the Romans made it illegal to be atheist and non-Christian.

I'm not talking about 500-1500 years ago. I don't agree with the forcing Christianity that happened back then but at the same time I didn't really have control over that considering I didn't exist.

I'm talking about today. Most people believe because of personal experience.

No, they believe because it is instilled into them at a young, impressionable age and the psychological fear of hell reinforces their belief in superstitious ignorance.

Not why my parents believe. Not why my grandmother believes. Not why many of my friends believe. Not why I believe. You're ignoring first hand accounts.

Not once have I had a supernatural experience. You realize religious people are more prone to have delusional hallucinations or claim to have been visited or spoken to by their believed deity? That’s not unique to your religion, not by a long shot.
There’s 3,000+ religions on earth and more than 18,000 gods people worship. They can’t all be right, but they can all be wrong.

See, this is how I know you wouldn't accept proof if it smacked you in the face. Everything supernatural is a hallucination, or a mental disorder, or anything you can think of besides it being real. I'm not trying to make you believe; what I'm trying to do is make you see that what you write off as stupid isn't as nonsensical as you think.

I find it hard to believe you’re much of a critical thinker when you’re telling me you’re unsure if Darwin’s theory of evolution holds up.

The average highschool in modern times knows more about evolution than Darwin did.

And I never said I was unsure of this.

It’s because I’m scientific and you are obviously not. Anecdotal evidence is not scientific evidence. There are plenty of natural explanations for alleged paranormal activity that are more plausible than the existence of ghosts, demons and angels.

Really? Scientific? It seems pretty dumb to tell everyone that there are only two reasons why people believe in God when there are countless reasons that people say there are. In fact, there's more evidence of those reasons than the ones you've listed here. All these questions you present, do you think I have not asked them myself? Do you think I have not doubted my faith countless times? I've seen things that no science has explained in a better way than some kind of creator/higher power. And my life has been changed by Christ. I can't verify it to you. But I don't really care. The reason you haven't had a supernatural experience is because God isn't gonna waste his time.

If science doesn’t yet have an answer, you’re making a giant leap by inserting god. You’re obviously just reaching the conclusions you want and aren’t a very good skeptic.

Bro I've been more skeptic than you at points in my life.

I can tell you just think I'm stupid with less evidence than I have of God, so I will only reply one more time to each of these discussions. You're f**king annoying.
