I had this question in mind for furries.

I didn't make a big deal out of my furry stuff. It was my life, none of their business, and not interfering with anything. They have a couple questions, but I've been very outspoken with my criticism of the fandom.

I think as long as you don't make a huge thing out of it (like the whole "coming out" concept) then they likely won't see you as the kind they see on TV, so long as you act normally otherwise.
