He paid off his own credit cards. He used the credit cards to purchase season tickets for the Nationals for him and a bunch of friends, and they paid him back and the loans to repair a home. He didn't report that anyone from his family gave him some $$ to pay off those cards.

Gifts from family members do not need to be reported. That’s straight from the IRS code. Each person has a lifetime exclusion. Get your facts straight before you hate.
