You're not just a little suspicious that yet again, we're having heavy snow and it's nearly May?

That doesn't suggest to you that things have changed a little bit? Like, er, the climate? The climate has changed?

The climate has changed, is what I'm getting at.

Yeah, I'd say you hit the nail on the head.

Supposed to be global warming but it's snowing in late April. I don't get that

Walk me through the science behind this phenomenon.

OK. It's actually quite simple. You're trying to make it more complicated but it's really not.

Scientists call it global climate change.

It didn't used to snow in May. Now it does. Your climate has changed.

Any questions?

Scientists call it climate change" is not an explanation.

The narrative is that the globe is heating to an unsurvivable level due to human generated "greenhouse" gas emissions.

The question I posed, how the snow in late April is possible in a superheated planet hasn't been answered and remains.

The question of what prehistoric man did to superheat the planet to melt all the glaciers thus ending the "ice age" hasn't been answered and remains.

So, yes, those two questions.

Your narrative is intentionally incomplete.

Heating due to atmospheric emissions is certainly one mechanism that has been involved, BUT WEATHER IS NOT DRIVEN BY A SINGLE MECHANISM AND NOBODY EVER SAID IT WAS.

By trapping solar energy within our atmosphere, it kicks off a string of destabilizing effects, causing increased cycles of water going up and down and changing the temperature with it - causing, for example, unpredictable snowstorms.

Hence the term "climate change" and hence the answer to your question.

It wasn't my narrative, it was political narrative.

Now it is no longer global warming but simply climate change?

If I mingled the word "weather" with "climate change" climate activists would heatedly state the two terms mean totally different things, yet here you have intertwined them.

All climate disturbance was laid at the feet of greenhouse gas emissions for the last 30+ years. From then until your meme was authored the "science" said that human pollution was the sole cause and this was parroted by the disciples of global warming.

If I understand properly, your position is any temperature fluctuations are "climate change" and we should do everything in our power to stop it, correct?

Also, prehistoric man did nothing to melt the glaciers and that was the result of naturally occurring climate/weather phenomena, correct?

Your last response, in my mind, simply described the changing seasons that occur annually with the occasional anomaly (such as snow in late April).

It's been global climate change for a LONG time now. If it's taken you over thirty years to hear about that then you clearly weren't that interested in becoming an expert on climate in the first place.

How long?

All climate change I ever heard about was directed at global warming.

I am interested in knowing why the narrative changed, and now that it has, when.

Also, how is what you described any different than the the changes that occur every year, winter, spring, summer, and fall ?

I am not an expert which is why I am asking an expert, you.

For over thirty years. I don't know what else to tell you - if this is the first you're hearing of it, you clearly haven't even looked into this very hard in over thirty years!

Hmmm...what to think.

Don't think! Learn! Do some reading. You clearly haven't in over thirty years.

How is your description of climate change any different from the changing seasons?

Educate me. Share your knowledge. Don't leave me ignorant in favor of snarky remarks.

Makes me think...why won't you answer?

I don't know how much time you think I have to explain the basics to you but I have given you an answer to your question - at this point, it is on you to find out more yourself.
0 ups, 2y
I understand what you are saying now - climate change and seasonal change are the same thing.
1 up, 2y
What did early humans do to change the climate? No factories, no fossil fuels, no pollution whatsoever, yet they managed to melt all the glaciers. Or did they?
