I've never had nor seen that happen. Ever.
I've had people get on me for being conservative, and even people in the furry fandom get on me for dumb reasons, but never once attacked for being a furry.

Well there's the problem, they're on the internet. People will say all kinds of crazy things on the internet for attention, whether they're bored or it's popular or something else. I've seen a lot of people say that they're abused, attacked and are victims just for existing but they never have been. It also doesn't help that there's people from these groups that are like activists and try to start drama by creating fake hate just to prove it's out there.

Not saying hate doesn't exist, but the internet likes to exaggerate things just to keep it interesting. Be careful not to fall into traps of activism.

Also if you want something interesting to check out, there's a little flash game called We Become What We Behold that explains it easily. The internet is just like any other media outlet. Nobody wants to watch absolutely nothing happenning. Gotta be interesting to have a sense of purpose.

Yeah, I honestly feel sorry for the new generation. They'll have it worse than anyone because they won't have as complete a sense of reality as anyone before them, even the biased activists of our generation. What's worse is that many won't learn to think outside the box, they'll only be told what to know in a lot of cases. Pity them.

I literally don't know how one could deal with that besides just avoiding the internet and living on a farm.
