In theory, and by their argument this is the beginnings stages of oppression. And naturally, people would downplay it as this comic does.

So both sides of this particular issue are full of it. The comics stance is easily countered by the simplicity (and indeed ignorance) of the alternative viewpoint, but it doesn’t matter how ignorant that argument is, the response fails to provide its own argument, which basically means they lost the argument lol. I know this is just a meme, but this is more my take on this situation as a whole.
