They fought for a horrible cause there. I don't respect what they fought for.

It was the government's horrible cause. The people actually on the frontlines didn't have a choice whether to fight or not because once you enlist, the government pretty much owns you

But they did enlist. It's not like i actively disrespect them. It's like, the Italian troops in WW2. They failed most of the time, but they were evil, picking on smaller countries. Just like us now. I don't respect them for the war because they knew that the government was like that. They knew about the power gone to America's head. They weren't drafted like Vietnam, it was a choice. So thats my reasoning.

Most of them enlisted either before the war or because they wanted to serve their country in some way and got the unlucky position of being sent to Iraq, and even then some were deceived that it was for some righteous reason. No soldier would ever make himself go through that only to enrich his government with oil that he will never use.
