Dan Quayle knew how to spell the word. One of his staffers didn't, and was holding up the queue card with POTATO spelled with an E.
He made the mistake of trusting his staffer.

Really? We heard for months about the Dan misspelled word. Eight was like glass. I know it's minor nothingness, but just shows the difference in coverage, which of course no commies will defend. Its amusing, and glad you agree.
