I agree, the government should be for the people, not for the few elite. Where the people control production and industry through democratic means, not some business owner who was born into wealth. Where our economy doesn’t have to rely upon the profit motive of others and can both cater to our needs/wants and respect the fact that Earth has finite resources. Where the money made from an industry that would normally go to the pockets of some already rich guy can instead be used for things actually important for the majority, such as healthcare, education, public projects, and more.

Hmm, now I wonder what economic model achieves that?

Corporatist…which is socialism.

I love how you resentfully called socialism “corporatist”. Ok then, since everything is controlled by the state under socialism (supposedly), who controls the state? Just a reminder that under socialism, you can’t own massive amounts of private property. And, consequently, absurd levels of wealth to “lobby” (which is just newspeak for bribe) elected officials.

Right now we live in a economic system where the corporations lobbies the governments to its bidding and redistribute money to corporations…..that’s why it’s corporatism.it’s not capitalistic.

Like it or not, this is the product of capitalism. Because just like every other competition, market competition has a winner. And do the winners give the market share back to the losers? Of course not.

Plus, socialism isn’t when “few people control stuff” so idk what point you’re trying to make.

Big Corporations lobbying for government regulations to keep competition from being successful is not capitalism. It’s corporatism. It’s progressive era bastardized capitalism.
